Will the board color be the same on material made at a different time?

As bamboo is a natural product, no two boards will be the same, nor is any sample shown an exact replica of what to expect, only an indication. Bamboo will vary in color and grain. This is one of the benefits of using a natural product.

Is SunDeck-bamboo maintenance free?

No, it will require periodic maintenance just as any other hardwood lumber or decking.

What are the main differences between SunDeck-bamboo and other wood decking products?

Will it grow mold or mildew?

As with any natural product, mold or mildew may grow on your deck, especially if food particles, leaves or dirt remain for an extended period of time. Sweep or clean your deck regularly to avoid this problem. Avoid getting fertilizers from your lawn on your deck. Clean leaves out of the gutters and make sure that water cannot pool on your deck. Periodic cleaning is highly recommended.

Before application of any sealers or coatings, brush and clean the surface to remove dirt and dust, then apply a high quality mold/mildew inhibitor as directed.

There are high quality Mold, Mildew & Stain removers on the market which are specifically designed to destroy mold and mildew and inhibit re-growth. Check with your local hardware or lumber supplier.
